This time we bring you a very simple tutorial to eat our fruit in a different way.

It's not always easy, especially for children, to get them to eat fruit regularly, so this can be an attractive way to introduce them to fruit. We always recommend that they eat fresh, seasonal fruit , but we are aware that this is more difficult than it seems.

We hope you like the recipe, so let's get started.

Easy tangerine gummies

Mandarin gummies

Ingredients

250 ml of sweet mandarin juice (in this case we will use the Orri variety , since this way we avoid using sugar or sweeteners)

8 gr agar agar (you can also use 10g neutral gelatin)

Step by step

1. Squeeze the tangerines:

Make the juice as usual until you have 250 ml of juice and strain it.

2. Heat the juice:

Put the juice on the heat. When it starts to heat up, add the agar agar and let it boil for approximately 4 minutes, stirring the mixture. If you use gelatin, you should add it when it is hot but not boiling.

At this stage, test the sweetness. If you find that it is a little too sweet for your taste, you can add regular sugar or sweetener. In our case, it was not necessary.

3. Let it cool.

To obtain the roll-shaped gummies, you must create a thin layer of approximately 1/2 cm on a tray covered with cling film or baking paper and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Extra:

If you have leftover mix, you can use silicone moulds (like those used for chocolates) and make classic jelly sweets. Just fill the moulds and leave to cool in the fridge overnight.

4º Roll the strips

Make cuts of approximately one centimetre and roll them up. Do the same with the rest of the strips. Keep them in the refrigerator.

OPTIONAL: Add sweetener or sugar on top of the gummies if they are a little plain.

And that's it. You can now enjoy your sweets in a healthy version and remember that you can also make them with gelatin. Try using orange juice too, they are delicious.
