Good morning!
How are you? I know I ask you every week, but it encourages you to reply without fear to these newsletters ;)
Anyway, let me tell you some things.
Here, we keep going to the fields every day, as always. The truth is that this season, the weather has given us more than one headache, especially with the excess humidity.
And with all the work we have preparing the boxes and harvesting, all we needed was last week's rain.
Today we visited Adrián, our strawberry farmer colleague, and the water played a bad trick on him... A large part of his first harvest was ruined.

This is the reality of the countryside, where every day we deal with all kinds of inclemencies.
That's why it's important to know what I'm going to tell you about seasonal fruits and vegetables, especially about the two most beloved by everyone.
All varieties of oranges and avocados have their perfect moment to shine.
And, of course, sometimes large supermarkets deceive consumers with all kinds of tricks ❌
For example, when a producing region suffers from bad weather, they substitute the product without warning.
Few people remember what happened in 2022 with strawberries from Huelva: after the frosts, some supermarkets sold strawberries imported from Morocco and Egypt as if they were domestic.
A less-than-transparent practice that continues with other products like tomatoes or oranges.
You should know that each variety has its season, its rhythm, its magic.
Right now, for example, we have Hass and Pinkerton avocados 🥑 on the website, each with its unique flavor and cultivated at the right time for its variety.

Nature is not in a hurry.
Oranges 🍊, for example, don't all come out at once.
Some are early, like the Navelinas, which have already said goodbye until next December.
Others, like the Navel Powell, which we are sending now, are at their best (Remember that this one is eaten in a special way that we indicate in the box).
But be careful 👀, what I want to get to is which varieties correspond to each time of year.
If you see varieties out of season, they have surely spent weeks in cold storage and have been treated with strange substances to make them last.
Nothing like ours, which arrive at your home freshly harvested, with all their flavor and freshness.

So now you know, if you want to enjoy oranges, avocados, lettuces, tomatoes, spinach, and more than 20 products harvested daily on demand, and at their best, here we are, with open arms and trees full of fruit.
That's why we harvest once you have placed your order: because no flavor surpasses that of fruit and vegetables harvested at their peak.
See you next week.
A big hug!
