I suppose you've read the subject line of today's newsletter and are expecting bad news.
Indeed, we are closing our doors starting tomorrow.
But don't panic, we're not leaving forever; we'll be back between mid-September and October.
We apologize for the short notice and for not being able to provide more precise dates, but nature is whimsical and doesn't follow calendars.
We will return when the seasonal vegetables reach their optimal point and when conditions for shipping are favorable again.
And as for the abruptness of the announcement, one of the reasons, as you may have guessed, is the summer heat, which is making it unsustainable to ship fruits and vegetables.
We have tried to innovate, by adding ice packs and shipping as fresh as possible, but we already knew that everything has its limits, and we don't want to compromise the quality of the vegetables you receive.
We wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank you for your support.
Without your help, this project could never have gotten off the ground.
We may not have brought about a radical change in Spanish agriculture, but at least we have done our bit. Thanks to your support, we have been able to help other farming families survive another year and continue with this important and undervalued art.
Here's to another year fighting for more sustainable and fair agriculture, thank you very much!
