How are you doing?
Have you gotten used to the time change yet?
Honestly, we haven't even noticed it.
In the countryside, we rise and sleep with the sun☀️, just like our ancestors did.
Of course, in exchange for regularity, our days are a bit more hectic than usual.
Today's Newsletter will be a bit longer than usual, but I assure you it's worth it, because I'm going to tell you what I do every day to bring you the fresh and natural fruit you love so much.
You can't even imagine how busy my day-to-day is, let me tell you🙈:
My days start early, around 5 am I get up and go to the fields to pick the fruits and vegetables for your orders while it's still dark🌃.
Since each farmer has fields in a different location, I try to gather enough produce to fulfill all the day's orders, although I always end up underestimating and having to make another round😅.
This isn't a problem with the fruit we grow ourselves, but Campos del Abuelo has grown a lot, and there are now many farmers in our family.
For example, today I started the day by going to Játiva to pick Javi's tender garlic and onions, and while I was there, I stopped by Adrián's orchard and also picked some strawberries🍓 and Quique's chard🥬.

Back home, I take the opportunity to have breakfast and regain strength, because it's time to start harvesting our flagship product: Valencia Oranges🍊.

I spend hours harvesting fruits and vegetables from all over the Valencian garden, and around 1 pm, I return home for lunch.
But the day doesn't stop; since it's too hot to be in the fields at midday, during these warmer hours I dedicate myself to packaging the vegetables I've just picked.
I personally make sure that all the boxes are sealed, and well sealed. It's very important for them to arrive in the best possible condition📦.
After all, it would be a shame for such fresh fruit as what we send you to be damaged🍊.
Do you remember when I mentioned earlier that we usually run out of fruits and vegetables to complete orders🤔?
Well, it shows you're paying attention🤗!
Indeed, most days I have to go back to the fields to pick more fruit before Rafa from MRV arrives, around 5-6 pm, so that they reach your home before 2 pm the next day. It's a real race against time🏃💨!
Once Rafa takes all the boxes, it's time to prepare for the next day; the tasks are many and varied. For example, we are currently pruning, and when we finish pruning a section, we shred the branches so that the nutrients return to the soil🌱.
Any progress is good, however, the real progress happens on Friday/Saturday, which is when we have all day to talk to the farmers and plan the week, work the land, record the videos we upload to Instagram, and a long list of tasks to ensure that every morning we have the best quality fruits and vegetables ready to send to you.
What do you think? It's a busy life, but it's worth it to be able to offer such a high-quality product.
Do you want to know more about our products?
Well, you're in luck, we've uploaded a blog post about our tender garlic that you'll love.
Have a happy week!
